It was a 120 degrees this past weekend and what where we doing?

We went swimming at Chris and Rogers house -outside. The day was hot, but the boys didn't mind. We also packed in all of the following during the weekend some how:

-Going to the hospital and visiting Grandpa Hall. He had a slight stoke while vacationing up in Beaver. They got to ride the Ambulance down from Beaver and said they made the trip in about 45 minutes.

-Went to a parent meeting about the new charter school Vista - We decided Clayton & Dylan are going next year.

-Tried Papa Johns Pizza for the first time - very good just like my co-workers told me. The garlic butter was the best part - at least me and Lance thought so.

-My sister Annette celebrated her 29th birthday!!! Wish we could have celebrated with her.

-The puppy has an offical name now - we think - Roxy!

-Ate some very good fresh yellow squash and tomatoes from Frei's Market.

-Watched a movie with Lance from Netflix - The Univited. It was actually really good not too scary and not too perdictable.

Recipe for Oreo Truffles - highly recommended by Heather Cornelius

  • 18 oz package oreos - finely crushed
  • 8 oz package cream cheese softened
  • 1 pound baking chocolate, melted (anykind you like)
  • In a large mixing bowl combine crushed oreos and softened cream cheese. Beat with a mixer on low until well blended.
  • Form 1 inch balls by hand. Dip in melted chocolate and place on cookie sheet covered with waxed paper.
  • Refridgerate 1 hour or until firm. Then eat and of course share them with someone. This recipe makes about 50 truffles.

Oreo Truffles made by Heather - of course dark chocolate was used!
